Feedback

Online reviews of your hotel are truly powerful. Over 90% of consumers read online reviews regularly. Reviews on sites like Facebook, Google, and Yelp play a huge part in whether a person decides to choose a business or not. Your hotel is no different, especially if a guest has never been to your area or your hotel.

feedbackYour star rating on Google and the total number of reviews written about your hotel can mean the difference between a potential guest deciding to book a room at your hotel or the hotel down the street or in the next town over. But how do you get guests to review your hotel? You ask them and you make it as simple as possible.

For example at BizIQ, we use a feedback page that is an image of two giant thumbs, one up and one down. Depending on which thumb they click, your customer is either lead to a page with links to Google and Facebook and any other review sites you might want, with text asking they leave a review or they’re lead to a feedback page so you can address their specific issue. The second one helps ensure that your business will get a minimum of negative reviews there’s no way to remove.

When you have a feedback page on your hotel website, you make it easy for guests to leave you a positive review and more challenging to leave a negative review while having an opportunity to reach out directly to any guests who were unhappy with something at your hotel. But don’t worry about a few bad reviews online, if you’re asking your happy customers to leave you a review on Google or Yelp, those four and five-star reviews will minimize the bad reviews.
